The Sounds of Signlessness
A little baby Thich Nhat Hanh, age 16
Hannah: I’m listening to the audiobook of Thich Nhat Hanh’s “The Art of Living”. I periodically listen to either this or Pema Chodron’s “When Things Fall Apart” when I’m out walking because they are oddly comforting and thought-provoking. They help me zoom way out in perspective, which makes the news that’s right in my face seem less…debilitating.
Chris is re-reading Haruki Murakami’s Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, and said he can’t put it down! Here’s a link to a review of the book that, humorously enough, centers around the reviewer’s impressions upon re-reading the book every 10 years since 2004. Of all of the weird abandoned wells and holes in the ground that Murakami sends his characters down into, this one may be the finest. ;-)
