These one-of-a-kind prints were created by artist Tara Wray over the course of a summer in 2022. She was experimenting with Midjourney, a platform that allows you to enter a text prompt to generate a picture. Tara generated over 25,000 images in an effort to understand how this medium could be claimed by a visual artist for use as a tool to create new work and/or inspiration for work made “in the real world”. The prints for sale here in the Dada Duende Cinnamon Shop were made using a combination of Midjourney-generated visuals, archival pigment printing, and pages torn from an old art instruction book that Tara found. As I mentioned previously, each one is one-of-a-kind, and in our opinion, each is delightful.
